
The social campaign “I drive, I am sober” was honored in the PR Wings competition for the best communication projects in Poland in the category “Social Media Communication and Influencer Marketing”. This is the first award for this initiative, promoting sobriety behind the wheel, which has been running for over 20 years.
“I drive, I am sober” is a campaign that the Imago PR agency conducted together with the Krzysztof Gmyrek Sobriety Foundation in December 2022. In addition to the foundation, the organizers of the campaign included the Silesian Voivodeship and the Regional Center for Social Policy of the Silesian Voivodeship, with the Silesian Police as a substantive partner.
– We are extremely proud that the “I drive, I am sober” campaign came under the wings of Imago PR, and the results of our work were noticed and appreciated by the jury of the PR Wings competition – comments Rafał Czechowski, founder and managing director of Imago PR. – This is a success for both our agency and all individuals involved in this important social project. In particular, the ambassadors who lent their image and voice: actor Bartosz Waga and radio journalist and voice actor Jarosław Juszkiewicz – he adds.
The aim of the campaign was to raise awareness among drivers and those around them about the dangers associated with driving under the influence of alcohol and other intoxicants, as well as to make them realize how important it is to react to such behaviors.
The campaign was carried out on social media using various forms of content presentation. Publications appealed to emotions and encouraged reaction – posts based on storytelling increased the power of the message to make recipients aware that similar stories could affect all of them.
The video spot featuring ambassador Bartosz Waga achieved high retention on YouTube, reaching 97.2%, and the campaign on SoMe reached over 2 million residents of the Silesian Voivodeship.
The culmination of the “I drive, I am sober” campaign was a report from “Sober Morning” – an action organized jointly with the Silesian Police involving testing drivers’ sobriety. Representatives of the foundation, campaign ambassador Jarosław Juszkiewicz, representatives of the Silesian Voivodeship, and the police spoke in the material. The result of these activities was several dozen publications on television, radio, and internet portals.
– The problem of intoxicated drivers remains current, which is why campaigns aimed at counteracting this phenomenon are extremely necessary. At Imago PR, we are pleased to contribute to the implementation of this important mission, the next phase of which is currently underway – concludes Rafał Czechowski.
The PR Wings competition is organized by the Public Relations Agencies Association. The winning projects are selected by several dozen jurors, and an independent auditor oversees the competition process.
