Imago Public Relations will be responsible for media relations during the European Economic Congress 2022 in Katowice (EEC – European Economic Congress). So far, 385 media representatives have declared their participation in the event. This is the 14th edition of the largest business event in Central Europe.

After the organizational challenges of the last two years related to the pandemic, this year’s Congress had to once again adapt to the new situation in the country and the world, this time resulting from Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Support for our eastern neighbor, future scenarios, and the security of Europe will be the main thematic focus of the Congress, alongside issues concerning, among others: green transformation and economic recovery, digitalization, and science. The scope of the event has also expanded – electronic forms of contact and communication, including online registration and sessions, have become a permanent part of the Congress’s organizational and media toolkit.

– The European Economic Congress develops year by year, both in terms of content and participant interest, with the support of partners and media playing a significant role. Every year, we host several hundred journalists from all over Poland and abroad in Katowice, who for three days report on the largest socio-political and economic debate in this part of Europe. The hybrid formula, which we have maintained, ensuring the transmission of 150 sessions, will engage an even greater number of participants, viewers, and commentators, including journalists – says Marta Dobrzańska, account director at Imago PR, acting as the press spokesperson for the European Economic Congress.

Imago PR is responsible for communication activities, accreditations, and managing the Congress’s press office.

The agency has been working for the European Economic Congress in Katowice since its first edition in 2009. In 2011, communication activities conducted by Imago PR were awarded the Golden Clip.

The European Economic Congress in Katowice is a three-day series of debates, meetings, and accompanying events with the participation of thousands of guests from Poland, Europe, and the world. Each year, EU commissioners, prime ministers and representatives of European governments, presidents of the largest companies, scientists and practitioners, decision-makers with a real impact on economic and social life participate in over 150 sessions. Every year, approximately half a thousand media representatives from Poland and abroad cover the event.
