It started with the first edition in 2009. Over the following years, we supported communication activities by building the brand of the European Economic Congress in Katowice. In 2011, we won the Golden Clip for this. In 2016, the largest business conference in Central Europe was enriched with an accompanying event, so we expanded our cooperation with the organizer, the PTWP Group, to include the European Tech and Start-up Days.
This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the events gained an online version, lasting from May through the summer months. We conducted communication activities, accreditations, press office and ongoing cooperation with media patrons of the event. In September, the first hybrid events since the lockdown took place: the XII European Economic Congress in Katowice and the 5th European Tech and Start-up Days – three days, over 160 hours of live broadcasts conducted in 16 streams, 3.5 thousand stationary guests and 6.7 thousand online participants staying in touch and interacting with each other.
The stationary and online debates were followed and reported by over 350 journalists representing 100 editorial offices. During the three days of the congress, we recorded 4.5 thousand mentions on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, blogs and microblogs with a total reach of 30 million unique users. In 2020, 20 thousand publications mentioning the events appeared in traditional media.
The Imago PR team worked on the 12th European Economic Congress and the 5th European Tech and Start-up Days also in a hybrid model – on-site at the press office in the International Congress Centre in Katowice and remotely from the Imago PR office and using home office mode.
According to the PTWP Group, the statistics summarizing the events rank them as the largest hybrid events in Poland. Retransmissions of all sessions are available on the website www.
